GERMAN DESIGN AWARD WINNER 2020

This year several reference objects by Thiele Glas were honored with the German Design Award.
The German Design Award honours innovative products and manufacturers who are pioneers in Germany and around the world.

The exclusive jury comes from all over the world to vote on the products and their manufacturers. Thiele Glas can be twice as happy this year. Because two of his reference objects were awarded the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD GOLD 2020. 

The „New Glenstone“ impressed the jury with its sophisticated concept of different masonry forms, proportions and the water landscape at the centre of the building ensemble. "A beautiful design that cleverly plays with the contrast between architecture and landscape and manages to unite both into a harmonious whole," said the jury. 

The „Princess Máxima Center“ in Utrecht was honoured with the "Excellent Architecture" award. In 2018, construction began on the gigantic glass bridge, which was to connect two hospital wings separated by an expressway. The use of coloured glass is intended to lift the mood of the patients and lead to a faster recovery.  - The jury praised this concept and awarded it a prize.
