Glasbau 2014 – a professional symposium with tradition

Up to 400 companies of the building and glass industry, architects as well as construction engineers from Germany and abroad participate at the Glasbau in Dresden year for year. The concept of the well-known expert conference convinces. The Technical University Dresden as host, top-class consultants, various seminars, the latest research issues and outstanding projects in the field of glass construction speak for themselves.

Thiele Glas, long-standing research partner of the Technical University Dresden, was present at the Glasbau with an exhibition stand on both days of the event, 13th and 14th March 2014. On the basis of two different reference objects the modern glass processor presented a selection of its high-quality assortment. For the <link _blank internal-link internal link in current>Bharati Research Station in the Antarctic over 200 square meter <link _blank internal-link internal link in current>TG-THERM^®sun, multifunctional insulating glass, which stands up to extreme weather conditions were produced. In the frame of the <link _blank internal-link internal link in current>Bus Station Bad Neustadt project Thiele Glas demonstrated its expertise regarding the production of design glasses. By the combination of colored laminated safety glass <link _blank internal-link internal link in current>TG-PROTECT^®color and ceramic digital printing <link _blank internal-link internal link in current>TG-PRINTdigital a visual highlight was created.

Jan Evers, responsible for sales marketing at Thiele Glas, strikes a positive balance at the end of the event: ‘The selection of topics allowed a comprehensive overview and thorough insight in terms of recent questions, especially about structural glazing. We had the chance to collect professional stimuli out of the seminars and to establish new contacts.’
