International exchange and communication

The last few weeks at Thiele Glas have been marked by international exchange – because the right partners form the basis for success.

During a two-day networking event architects and planners from six different countries met in Leipzig (Saxony). Among them, there were participants from Japan, Israel, Hungary and Russia. In addition to the specialized communication the participants received valuable information on the topic of overlength. Jan Evers, Architectural Consultant, as well as representatives of the partner companies Saint-Gobain and Dip-Tech informed the participants about glass production, processing and finishing. During a factory tour through the coating halls of Saint-Gobain all entrants got the chance to see the production of the basic glasses. Afterwards all participants went to the large Thiele Glas factory in Wermsdorf. During a demonstration of quality assurance, they were able to convince themselves of the stability and load-bearing capacity of Thiele Glas. The following factory tour through the huge halls passing the glass processing systems, such as the Dip-Tech digital printer, rounded off the event. For the second time Thiele Glas organized the Architects Event with Saint-Gobain.

But not only in its own facilities Thiele Glas presents its products to international customers. In Canada, Thiele Glas presented its overlength products with an own booth at the Garibaldi Glass Days. Every year, the Glass Days offer the opportunity for the North American visitors to experience a day full of exciting new glass impressions. “It was a great honor for us to present our products with our own booth to Americans renowned architects and planners. The interest in our possibilities with overlength products was really great”, says Andreas Appel, Technical Director at Thiele Glas, about the participation in the Garibaldi Glass Days.
