International Airport Hong Kong, China

Grey concrete walls, endless gangways and countless escalators – a picture you can find at almost all airports. But the International Airport in Hong Kong literally stands out in this point. At the walls of the arrival and departure hall you can find up to forty meter long art works on glass. By fusing structured glass was designed threedimensionally with airbrushing technolgy and backside digital printing. Additionally, it is now illuminated from behind. Thus it obtains an unbelieveable depth effect. The arrival area is dominated by the colors red and yellow which reflect the dynamics of Hong Kong. The blue-tinted departure zone, on the other hand, symbolizes the connection between fly and air. In their peculiarity, both works of art are, without doubt, an eyecatcher and highlight in the too often monotonous everyday life.
