Schindler Innovation Campus, Berlin (GER)
The world's leading supplier of elevators and escalators, the Schindler Group, has rebuilded its German headquarters in Berlin into an Innovation Campus. The entrance building erected in the process connects two listed factory buildings. The new entrance particularly stands out thanks to its glass facade between its restored outbuildings. For the glass panes, the decision was made to use TG-THERM®sun insulating glass with a high selectivity. These offer special protection against sunlight compared to ordinary sun protection glass, as they have a high light transmission at a low g-value. The panes, which are up to around 8 m high, flood the entrance area with light and
make it look open. With a total of 29 glass panes, a glass volume of 222 m² was installed here.
