Villa S. North Rhine-Westphalia (GER)

Glass is almost indispensable in modern architecture and gives objects elegance and exclusivity.

An outstanding example for this is Villa S: 27 panes of the energy saving insulating glass TG-THERM®plus are installed in this building. Due to the sizes of nearly five by three meters the windows allow an almost unrestricted view into the artfully designed garden. Nevertheless they do not have energetic disadvantages for the building like e.g. a high energy loss through the windows.

Due to this construction the villa is flooded by natural light when the sun is shining, which saves additional energy for electronic light. In this way the building is not only an architectural highlight for elegance but also brings economic advantages and therewith saves the environment.
