Eindhoven showcases (NLD)
The popular department store has been part of the cityscape since the 1950s. A targeted modernisation should now give this building a new, contemporary appeal. In addition to the shifted floor, especially the facade has been redesigned. The windows on the upper floor of the department store were replaced by glass boxes made out of TG-PROTECT®-TVG with SGP film as an interlayer. The individual panes, which are up to 6,904 x 2,486 mm, have been glued together and attached to the facade over a few points. This gives the impression that the boxes are floating. The integrated LED light installation creates a visual appearance that varies depending on where the viewer is located.
