Stair-rail at ABT, Velp (NED)
Glass and concrete are not visibly connected and still provide a stable hold – this construction offers completely new design opportunities to architects. The stair-rail in the Dutch engineering office ABT is made of two nearly seven meters long TG-PROTECT® SGP each of which consist of three tempered safety glasses (low-iron glass). The glass cut-outs were precisely adapted to the staircase. The metal fixation, with which the glasses were fixed to the concrete, is stuck directly onto the glass edge with a special technique, so that no additional, view intermittent attachment is required. The noble look is completed by high-gloss CNC-processing. Thanks to the use of SentryGlas® as interlayer, the free edges fulfill the highest demands.
