Award for project with integrated photovoltaic system
Nowadays, events on totally four continents make the Intersolar the world’s leading fair of the solar industry and partners.
With the aim to boost the innovative capacity of companies, the Intersolar AWARD was presented on 10th June. This event is always supported by international inter-trade organizations and took place for the 8th time already. For the winner the price is not only a confirmation of their expertise and high-quality work, it also contributes to their international reputation.
By contributing the project ‘Aktiv-Stadthaus’ (Frankfurt am Main), which is worldwide unique, the solarnova Deutschland GmbH could assert itself successfully in the category projects and took home the award for it. Since 1996, the producer of high-quality PV-modules has successfully established itself on the market.
348 glass-PV-modules were integrated in the entire project and ensure now the energetic needs of the tenants. Furthermore, the house even produces a surplus of energy. That is why the ‘Aktiv-Stadthaus’ serves as example for urban multi-family houses in energy-efficient-construction. This type of building combines well-insulated building shell, efficient building technology, renewable energy and energy-saving domestic appliances in A+++ standard. The 696 single glass panes TG-TVG® for the solarnova PV-modules were supplied by Thiele Glas. The idea for the ‘Aktiv-Stadthaus’ came from the architect Professor Manfred Hegger.
The ‘Aktiv-Stadthaus’ serves for the principal ABG Holding Frankfurt and also the Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Bauen und Stadtentwicklung (BMVBS) as research and presentation object with reference to the future of sustainable construction.
