Thiele Glas reference object Villa Kogelhof was once again awarded! 3rd place in AIT Award – Best in Interior and Architecture 2014
The AIT Award which was only launched in 2012 delighted from the very beginning.
Proof of this is provided by the volume of high-quality submittals which were handed in last year already and immediately turned the award into one of the world’s biggest competition in the field of architecture and interior design.
This year 573 international projects of 31 nations in total took part and competed for the best rankings. In doing so parties involved in the project (architects, interior designer, designer, principals and manufacturer) could submit their contributions in eight categories (living, hotel/catering, retail/exhibition, office/administration, health/beauty, sport/leisure, public buildings/education and industry/trade). Finally the best projects at each category have been chosen by an international and independent jury on 10th March 2014 in the St. Katharinen Church Hamburg.
On 2nd April 2014 in the course of the Light+Building fair in Frankfurt/Main the best projects were honored during an award ceremony. In the presence of all nominated architectural offices winners were announced by the jury and the AIT editorial staff.
The Villa Kogelhof which was designed by architect Paul de Ruiter ranked among the leaders in the category living. Awarded with the well-deserved third place the futuristic-looking building prevailed over the strong competition. Special was that the Villa Kogelhof convinced not only the jury but also the audience which elected the building to its favorite (Popular Choice Winner).
We are glad that the project was awarded for such a top-class price once more and are proud that we contributed a portion to the final project success. Additionally the object got the A+ Award in the category one-family house (> 280 m2) which is awarded by largest Architecture portal of the world, Architizer. Our congratulations to all involved but especially to the star architect Paul de Ruiter!
