Cold-bent protection, Melsungen (GER)
The new office room of the B. Braun Melsungen AG turned into an architectural highlight. A glass Partition wall was installed for fall protection measures that optically nestles agaist the likewise newly built spiral staircase. To make this possible, the installed TG-PROTECT®-ESG-H was cold bent. The glass was produced as a triple laminate and supervised by an independent engineering office during installation. The 21 glazing units with maximum dimensions of up to 4,350 x 2,570 mm were clamped over two axes at room temperature. The installation of this special construction needed the approval on a case-by-case basis. Next to the cold-bent glass, also numerous double laminates were installed as glass balustrade in the new office.
