Glass Staircase, Beckum (GER)

Transparent interior concepts are increasingly gaining importance in modern architecture. Such innovative design opportunities are also applied in an office building in Beckum. 146 glass panes of TG-STEP were integrated in the new building. The maximum dimensions are up to 1,186 x 2,108 mm. For this application Thiele Glas produced walk-on-able glasses out of triple laminated safety glass. Furthermore, the panes were refined with a Luxraff^® Stone glass on top for providing slip resistance.  The glazing was installed in the office building by Menke Glas GmbH and will be an eyecatcher from now on, without impairing stability or step security on the stairs and floors.
