Leica Headquaters, Wetzlar (GER)
Unique showcases and bell jars out of TG-PROTECT® and TG-ESG®
The Leica Camera AG returns with its ultra-modern headquarters to Wetzlar, the place where the company was founded. On a surface of more than 27,000 square meters visitors will find a unique world of experiences.
The new company headquarters of the Leica Camera AG has been ceremonially opened in May 2014. Interested guests are always welcome to experience the Leica world on their own. The integrated walk through the building with many diversified stations informs extensively and makes the new company headquarters of Leica an outstanding world of experience. There photo enthusiasts can admire works of renowned photographers in changing exhibitions as well as historical cameras, lenses and sport optic products at the Leica Museum.
For the presentation of the valuable exhibits Thiele Glas has fabricated in co-operation with the IMA International various exhibition display cabinets out of double laminated safety glazing TG-PROTECT® with 2 x 4 mm low-iron glass and TG-ESG® tempered safety glazing. Additionally more than 60 three- and five-sided bell jars of 12 mm TG-PROTECT® laminated safety glazing have been produced by bonding the single sheets light-curing adhesive. After curing, the adhesive is glass-clear at the joints. This is a decisive advantage of the adhesive technology because thereby the joints appear light and transparent.
