ZOB, Hannover (GER)
In Hannover, the new central bus station situated next to the Rundestraße. Since September 2014 the glazed roofing impresses by functionality as well as aesthetic cause it offers perfect protection against weathering and simultaneously combines artful aspects. This is implemented by the integrated roof construction. The 1400 square meters large structure is supported by an orthogonal grating which is mounted on 10 round hollow steel profiles.
The construction of the executing company Albrecht & Jäcker Nachfolger GmbH & Co. KG integrates a total of 842 panes TG-PROTECT®-TVG. The planning was made by the architect office Werner Sobek Stuttgart. By the change of the profile dynamic a wavy bottom view comes out. Additionally a printed grid has been partly applied by means of screen printing. The corresponding service building shines in intense red. The entire design of the project leaves a very accomplished and spectacular appearance.
